A Place for Life's Events

Turn slightly left from Frederiksberg Gardens’ impressive main port and you’ll find a quaint entrance; white, painted, weathered, with the words: Haveselskabets Have. You’ve arrived at the Royal Society Gardens. For the curious but also for the cognoscenti, our venues are hidden in plain sight.

Brøndsalen, Paradehuset, The Orangerie and The First Floor, are framed by the impressive royal gardens that feature Danish flora and fauna in an understated, natural and charming way. We have a rich history of hosting with exceptional food and drink and stately beauty.

Food and drink are provided by the chefs behind the renowned restaurant Mielcke & Hurtigkarl, one of Denmark’s finest.

Together, let’s celebrate.

THE ART OF HOSTING

Events

A historic oasis in the city

Your future event already comes with a decorated history. These buildings go back to the days of King Christian IV. The future Queen of Denmark, Sophie Amalie, loved parties and hunting and set out to build Prinsessegården (The Princess Farm) for her daughters in “rural” settings. Today, this building is the same that houses Restaurant Mielcke & Hurtigkarl and The First Floor.

For centuries, these grounds have hosted big and small events. We continue this tradition of hosting with pride, finding new ways to delight our guests with fine food and wine and respite from the city’s clings and clangs.

These outstanding surroundings together with Mielcke & Hurtigkarl’s sense of composition for food and drink set the stage for your memorable event.
